Hopium further widens its losses in the first half

(AOF) – Hopium posted a net loss of 24.68 million euros in the first half, compared to 9.53 million a year ago. The company specializing in hydrogen fuel cells and automotive engineering, in receivership since July, characterizes its financial situation as “negative equity of 31.9 million euros and cash of 0.09 million euros “. Hopium having not yet initiated the marketing of its hydrogen fuel cell system, the company “did not achieve any turnover during the first half of 2023”, it is specified.

With the support of its financial partner Atlas Special Opportunities, Hopium is “continuing the development of its hydrogen fuel cell up to TRL 6 technology level” (demonstration of a prototype or system/subsystem model in a representative environment ) which will allow it to “demonstrate the maturity of its proprietary technology and its ability to serve the mobility sectors”.

Benefiting from a judicial recovery procedure, Hopium is “at the same time continuing discussions with potential industrial and commercial partners with the aim of defining a continuation plan allowing it to secure the continuation of its activity”.
