How the Pacte law obliges professionals to “green” their savings offer


DECRYPTION – Since January 1, insurers must green their offer by offering funds labeled SRI, green or solidarity in their contract.

French people wishing to give meaning to their savings as part of their life insurance contract will have more choices in 2022. From 1er January, banks and insurers will indeed have to offer their customers with a multi-support contract at least one green financial support labeled Greefin (excluding companies operating in nuclear or fossil fuels), a Finansol stamp (invested at 5 or 10% in the social and solidarity economy) or labeled “socially responsible investment” (SRI). “This provision, resulting from the Pacte law, is likely to accelerate the dynamics in responsible investments”, believes Franck Le Vallois, the managing director of the French Insurance Federation (FFA).
