The lighter the suede of your boots, the more likely there are stains that will become embedded in the leather. “Suede is a complicated material because leather is porous so it absorbs all the liquids and dirt you will encounter”, explains the shoe cleaning expert. Suede cleaning is always done dry, for this you can opt for a crepe brush ideal for this type of leather. “The technique is to heat the crepe by rubbing insistently on the stain, because when the crepe starts to heat it sticks and this helps to catch dirt and impurities”, explains Henri De La Porte. Of course it is not recommended to wear them in torrential rain because in this case the waterproofing will not be enough.
