Withdraw cash without a bank card: at your bank counter
You can withdraw money directly from your banking establishment by going to the counter. Subject to a sufficient balance, you can request up to 1,500 euros in cash. For a higher amount, it is necessary to contact your bank at least 24 hours in advance. Please note that if the bank does not have a cashier service, it may give you a single-use card which will allow you to withdraw the requested amount directly from the ATM.
What are the conditions for withdrawing cash without a credit card?
Withdrawing cash over the counter is a free transaction. However, you will need to prove your identity (with an identity card or passport). To get the money, you will either have to write a check for the withdrawal amount to the bank or fill out a withdrawal slip (depending on the bank). In this second case, as with a check deposit, you keep one copy, the other is given to the bank. You can also communicate your bank details by confirming your identity and your date of birth, especially if you withdraw money from an agency other than yours (especially since some banks are regionalized).
Withdraw cash using your smartphone
You also have the option of withdrawing cash using the online application of certain banks. Request the amount you need on the application, prove your identity (secret code and/or code received by SMS) and you will receive a code to dial at the ATM or communicate at the counter to make your withdrawal.
