For spring 2024, Huawei returned with four new high-end phones: the Pura 70, 70 Pro, 70 Pro+ and 70 Ultra.
Succeeding last year’s P60, the models of this generation firstly share a few technical characteristics:
- A Kirin 9010 chip;
- A triangular photo module;
- 120 Hz 2500 nits LTPO OLED screens;
- IP68 certification.
The range then begins with the Huawei Pura 70, equipped with a 6.6-inch panel; 12 GB of RAM; a rear photo module with 50 Mpx main sensor (f/1.4-f/4.0), 13 Mpx ultra-wide-angle sensor (f/2.2) and 12 Mpx telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom (f/3.4) ) ; a 4,900 mAh battery with 66W wired, 50W wireless, and 7.5W reverse fast charging.
For their part, the Pura 70 and 70 Pro benefit from a 6.8-inch screen; a respective amount of RAM of 12 GB and 16 GB; the 50 Mpx main sensor (f/1.4-f/4.0) of the Pura 70, a 12.5 Mpx ultra-wide-angle and a 48 Mpx telephoto lens with 3.5x zoom (f/2.1); a Super Focus Macro function which allows you to focus on objects located 5 cm from the camera; and a 5,050mAh battery with 100W wired, 80W wireless, and 20W reverse fast charging.
The Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ has a notable advantage over its little brother: satellite connectivity.
The most premium model announced by Huawei is the Pura 70 Ultra. Quite similar to the Pro+ model, this version has big advantages in terms of its photo module:
- A main sensor in 1-inch format of 50 Mpx with telescopic optics with variable aperture from f/1.6 to f/4.0; * A 50 Mpx telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom
- A 40 Mpx ultra wide-angle.
We also note the presence of a larger 5,020 mAh battery.
The new range of Huawei smartphones is priced from 5,499 yuan for the Pura 70 (around 728 euros excluding taxes), 6,499 yuan for the Pro model (860 euros), 7,999 yuan for the Pro+ (1,058 euros) and 9,999 yuan (1,323 euros) for the Ultra.
Given that the American embargo against Huawei is still in place, it seems unlikely that the Huawei Pura 70 will arrive in France.
