Little good plan of the weekend which is timely for PS5 and PS4 players. A new promotion allows you to buy PS Plus subscriptions before the price increase.
It was the double bad surprise of this week. Sony has revealed PS Plus’s new trio of ‘free’ games with quality well below what gamers have become accustomed to. If disappointment was already in place, the Japanese publisher has outbid by announcing a price increase for its service effective next week. We are not talking about a small increase, but about inflated prices of almost 35% depending on the formulas. So you only have a few days left to renew your subscription before you have to pay more. Good news, a promotion is coming just in time so you can stock up before the fateful date.
The PS Plus will increase its prices from September 6th. An announcement that no one saw coming, or at least not with these new rates. On this date, all formulas will cost more. The one-year PlayStation Plus Essential will be priced at €71.99 compared to €59.99 currently, 12 months of Extra will cost €125.99 compared to €99.99, while the one-year PS Plus Premium will increase to €151, €99 instead of €119.99. The bill will be higher than ever, but you still have a few days to accumulate the offers and prepare for the price increase. It is indeed possible to renew your subscription for as many years as desired, so you might as well take advantage of it.
And that’s good, since Eneba has just launched a promo on PSN cards and it may go quickly given the context. €50 cards are currently at €42.49 until September 4 at 1 p.m. French time. In summary this gives:
- PS Plus Essential one year +40€ from PSN : €84.57 instead of €99.99
- One Year PlayStation Plus Extra : €84.57 instead of €99.99
- One year PS Plus Premium +30€ PSN : €126.66 instead of €150
Well, we’ve seen better as a promo, but given the timing we’re not going to complain. We can only strongly recommend that you accumulate PSN cards to renew your subscription over a few years for lack of anything better before the price increase of PS Plus.
