On January 27, social networks therefore resumed a very short activity, the time of an announcement: Hyper Scape will close its doors. The news did not surprise anyone, given that the battle royale had fallen into oblivion in the video game industry. Ubisoft explains, in the few lines of its message, that it took ” the heavy decision to end the development of Hyper Scape and to close it from April 28, 2022 “.

Ubisoft Montreal, in charge of development, thanks the community for its dedication and explains “ draw lessons from this game for our future products “. Ubisoft will, in fact, review its operation in the years to come, focusing more on free-to-play. Several experiences have, moreover, been formalized and will arrive soon, like The Division Heartland, Ghost Recon Frontline and XDefiant.
