The Canadian start-up Damon Motorcycles has not even started deliveries of its first electric motorcycle – the Damon Hypersport – yet it is already presenting a second model by the name of HyperFighter Colossus. And like Hypersport, the company has chosen CES 2022 in Las Vegas to introduce it to the general public.
This new trendy bike will be entitled to two other variations: the one presented by Electrek is logically the most expensive, up to 35,000 dollars, followed in the following years by two other models billed 19,000 and 25,000 dollars. But we are clearly not there yet.

The HyperFighter Colossus wants to shake up the segment of streetfighters, these fairingless motorcycles with high performance and aggressive aesthetic lines. On the engine side, the engineers integrated an engine with a power of 200 hp (150 kW), for a top speed of 274 km and a 0 to 100 km / h shot in 3 seconds.

Autonomy does not reach the peaks: count 235 kilometers of range thanks to a 20 kWh battery. Above all, the HyperFighter Colossus incorporates many technical elements of the HyperSport to integrate intelligent functions intended to improve driver safety.
Visual and sensitive alerts
The CoPilot system, boosted by radar, cameras and artificial intelligence, warns the user of a potential danger via light alerts on the … windshield. Problem: this bike does not have one.
It is not known how Damon will get around this problem. Also, vibrations emitted in the handles of the handlebars can be sent.
The Shift system, which adapts the user’s position according to their current use (city, expressways), is also in order. The HyperFighter Colossus is currently available for pre-orders for a down payment of $ 250.
Launched a few months ago in France, the small electric motorcycle Xubaca had its little moment of glory at CES 2022. Presentation of this 50cc equivalent primarily intended for the city.
