A selfless gesture, a star and a satisfied Mike Heiter: These were the highlights of the second day of the "great jungle show".

Day two of "I'm a Star – The Great Jungle Show" (RTL, TVNow) had one thing above all in store for influencer Mike Heiter (28), model Zoe Saip (21) and reality veteran Frank Fussbroich (52): boredom. In the tiny house in Hürth near Cologne there is not much for the candidates to do. The highlights: two surprises for Fussbroich, the jungle test "Decoding" and the audience voting at the end of the show, which especially Heiter was happy about.

A reconciliation of a different kind

Before Fussbroich could prepare himself for his surprises, a discussion with Saip was due. She still had to nibble at her failed exam the previous day – much to the annoyance of the 52-year-old. "If you screwed up, you screwed up," was his opinion. He even accused Saip of being "mentally disturbed" because of her behavior. In fact, the model has been in therapy for six months, as it later revealed.

Then the U-turn. A personal surprise was waiting for Fussbroich, which he would only receive if Saip gave up two of her cigarettes for him. Without batting an eyelid, the 21-year-old agreed – and Fussbroich was speechless. He didn't expect so much selflessness, especially not after what was happening. "That's a really great trait," he said. Shortly afterwards, tears finally flowed when the 52-year-old received a motivating video message from his wife Elke.

The chances are good for Heiter

The motivation was great when the second jungle test came up. In the game "Decoding" the candidates had to reach into Plexiglas boxes and look for codes under animals and sand. They had to remember these in order to be able to open combination locks behind which the stars to be won were located. As the day before, Saip had her difficulties. Despite good persuasion from her colleagues, she went away empty-handed after the time ran out, as did Fussbroich. Merely Heiter managed to earn at least one star.

The 28-year-old was sure of the favor of the audience. The corresponding ranking after day two: Heiter (first place) and Fussbroich (second place) would move into the semifinals, for Saip the dream of 50,000 euros and the golden ticket for the jungle camp in 2022 would have failed. The coming third day will bring the decision.
