Marine Le Pen continues her campaign. This Sunday, April 10, the French went to the polls to vote for the candidate of their choice in the first round of the 2022 presidential election. At the end of a long and stressful day, the result was announced around from 8 p.m. So these are Emmanuel Macron, the current President of the Republic and Marine Le Pen who will face each other on April 24. Both have a few days to chain interviews, meetings and trips to convince the French. The candidate of the National Rally held a press conference this Tuesday, April 12. This took place at his HQ and it did not go unnoticed since Marine Le Pen got into a fight with a journalist. He mentioned Yann Barthès and his team, which was not accredited to access HQ during the results of the first round. “Doesn’t that bode bad relations with the media and journalists for your presidency?“, asked a representative of the site Freeze frames. What the main concerned immediately retorted: “You are the only one complaining…” before adding:I’m not sure this is your presidential question.“.
Determined not to let it go, Marine Le Pen then explained the reason why she did not wish to give accreditation to the team of Yann Barthès’ show. “There are no journalists at ‘Quotidien’!”, she asserted. Afterwards, she added: “Quotidien is not a news or journalist show. Daily, he’s an entertainer. Sometimes very funny indeed. But it’s an entertainment show.” According to his words, there is “so many people we have to accredit that we prefer accredit journalists rather than entertainment programs“. A tackle that caused a lot of reaction, in particular a journalist from Liberation. Very surprised, he immediately asked the main person concerned: “It is you madam who decides who is a journalist or not? What Marine Le Pen retorted: “I am at home !” before continuing: “I am at home, in my HQ and in my movement, Mr. of ‘Liberation’, who has always been welcomed from elsewhere! I accredit all the others, including of course the media which are extremely hostile… like you“, she concluded. That has the merit of being clear.

Marine Le Pen held a new press conference this Wednesday, April 13. This was disturbed by the intervention of a woman who held up a photo of the National Rally candidate with Vladimir Putin. The activist was quickly evacuated by the security service and Marine Le Pen was able to resume her conference.
