During this interview, the actor revealed that with Marion Cotillard, they were quite independent, and each made their own choices: “I don’t need my wife to know what to do or how to live, I don’t have that kind of relationship with her..” He adds that this does not mean that they do not support each other, and that they do not give each other advice on their careers: “With Marion, we sometimes ask each other for advice on our roles, but we are old enough to make our choices.” A relationship in which they have mutually flourished for almost twenty years now.

He notably spoke about a film by Benoît Jacquot in which he starred alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg: “I had a lot of fun filming with Charlotte Gainsbourg.
