This Saturday, January 15, Marc Lavoine was the guest of 50 minutes inside to discuss the release of his new album. During the show, the 59-year-old singer rarely mentioned his children.

He is a fulfilled father. For several years, Marc Lavoine is very well known to the French thanks to his catchy songs but also thanks to his role as coach in The Voice. It is also in this program, broadcast on TF1, that he sometimes confides in his family life and in particular on his eldest son, Simon. “I have a son who is 33 years old, who has our colors between us and he listens to the music that you play. After a first marriage with Denise Pascale, Marc Lavoine married Sarah Poniatowski in 1995. They had three children: Yasmine born in 1998, Roman born in 2007 and Milo born in 2010. He notably shares a duet with Grand Corps Malade on the song which gave its title to the disc, but also with actress Virginie Ledoyen. During the show, the 59-year-old singer rarely mentioned his children and in particular on the transmission. “I listen to my children a lot. I don’t own my children, but neither do they own me. I need to establish this rapport, to really talk to them. There are rules, a framework to have. There are principles, he began.

“I try not to do too much nonsense”

Then, Marc Lavoine added : “What is difficult for my children, I don’t really want to say it but well… They were never poor in a certain way, so they may have more to learn. Me, I was rich because I was rich from nothing. That’s what wealth is, it’s the influence you can have on existence. I try not to do too much nonsense and I join Big Flo and Oli. They did a wonderful thing about their dad where they say a dad is a guy who does what he can. The children too. They do what they can…”
