The actress Judith Godrèche returns to our screens with a captivating autofiction, Icon of French Cinemaavailable from this Thursday, December 21 on Arte.tv. A series, mixing fiction and reality, that she produced, and in which she plays her own role. During six episodes, Judith Godrèche highlights many aspects of her life, notably inappropriate behavior on the part of certain directors towards him during his youth. In an interview with Le Parisien this Thursday, December 21, the actress notably revealed a traumatic experience that she experienced at the age of 15. “I had to go shirtless and kiss a man 45 times in a row on set”she confided. “No one warned me. Therefore, I didn’t even know it was possible to say nothat I had the right to do so.”
This experience left deep scars on Judith Godrèche, which continued with her throughout her career. Today, she has chosen to tell her story through this series close to reality, largely to protect his daughter, who also plays herself. “This series is made from a restorative perspective, to protect others, at least my daughter who wants to be an actress. For my past, it is too late”declared the 51-year-old actress.

The director, who dated director Benoît Jacquot when she was just 14, is also one of the 93 women who, in 2017, launched the Me Too movement to denounce the sexual assaults committed, among others, by Harvey Weinstein.
