“I lost half of my friends”, the companion of Camille Lacourt evokes her life as a mother

A transparent text. On June 1, 2021, Alice Detollenaere and Camille Lacourt are the parents of a little boy named Marius. If the former swimmer was already the father of a little Jazz who will celebrate his tenth birthday next October, the fruit of his union with the former Miss France Valérie Bègue, it is on the other hand the first child of Alice Detollenaere. And a little over a year after welcoming her first baby, Miss Bourgogne 2010 wrote a long post on Instagram on her first impressions as a mom.

“I had no idea what it was like to be a mum”, writes Alice Detollenaere in a publication on her Instagram account dated August 19. The young woman confided in her motherhood and her awareness of society’s expectations of mothers. “All my certainties have been shattered, writes the former Miss. I realized the absurdity of what is expected of women. Having a career and spending 10 hours a day at work, being a 100% mother and devoted to her home, being beautiful (meaning taking the time to play sports and take care of yourself), being financially independent…” Camille Lacourt’s companion also confessed that with her new life as a momshe had “struggling to return to sport, because [son] body is exhausted”and that she had “lost half of [ses] friends” because she doesn’t have enough time for them. A transparency on her private life that the young woman has always maintained, especially when she had suffered from breast cancer.

Alice Detollenaere, an uninhibited influencer

Very active on Instagram, Alice Detollenaere seeks to deliver messages with kindness on her account. The young woman had breast cancer in 2020during which she had undergone a first mastectomy, and last February she chose to proceed with a second preventive mastectomy due toa genetic mutation likely to be responsible for a new cancer. Throughout the process, the mother of Marius had wanted to share her journey with her subscribers in order to raise awareness and support people going through the same ordeals. “More than a responsibility, talking about my experience has become a duty”she wrote in her book Healed by your love.
