While Star at home signs her big comeback on TF1 with Flavie Flament at the helm, the host confided in the columns of Télé Magazine. She returned to the sexual abuse of which she was the victim.
The life of Flavie Flament was not kind. Before finding the light, she revealed, in her book, The Solace, thatshe had been a victim of sexual abuse when she was younger. A wound that she had managed to hide when she hosted. “I hid my drama well, yes… I was myself in a negation of everything, and the antenna brought me at the time a form of warmth and affection that I did not have elsewhere“, she initially confided in the columns of TV Magazine. Only, after years in the spotlight, Flavie Flament needed to take a step back with the light. “I am less exposed because I love myself more. Leaving the light was a necessity. I had to find myself because there was not much that belonged to me at that time“, she continued.
For many years, the 47-year-old host has remained in the shadows. She built a new life for herself and enjoyed her family and loved ones. “I took off not only to experience something very powerful, which was La Consolation, but also to do radio, write books.” From Friday, February 18, 2022, Flavie Flament will sign her big return to television, on TF1, with Stars at home.
Stars at home is Flavie Flament’s “baby”
20 years later, she did not hesitate for a second to relaunch the program that had been created for her by Jean-Luc Delarue. “It’s kind of my baby. I’m sure he’s very proud from up there“, she confided, referring to Jean-Luc Delarue. She hopes that the program, modernized, will appeal to the public, as it did 20 years ago.
