Idris Elba has confirmed that he is working on a film version of "Luther" after there will be no sixth season of the BBC series.
British actor Idris Elba (48, "Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw") is working on a "Luther" film. He confirmed that on Friday on the radio show "The All-New Capital Weekender". Accordingly, he is currently preparing for the production of the psychological drama. "I'm super excited and I hope the fans are kind of excited about it," said Elba. The fans would have had to wait a long time for a film.

Elba promised that there would be more murders and an often frowned Luther. "Basically, we just want to try to make the film accessible to a much larger audience and a larger format, perhaps also internationally," the actor explained in an interview with presenter MistaJam (38). As early as November last year, it became known that there would be no sixth season of the BBC hit series (2010-2019) with him in the title role of Detective Chief Inspector John Luther.
About his further plans for 2021, Elba revealed: "Definitely make more music." He's currently working on some really cool songs and is looking forward to the pieces being presented.
