(CercleFinance.com) – IDSud announced last night that its results had gone into the red in the first half due to a heavy provision on its energy activities.
The holding company reported a net loss of 6.3 million euros for the first six months of the year, including a provision for the energy sector of 7.1 million euros, to be compared with a profit of 1.1 million a year earlier.
Exceptional income – which amounts to -3.8 million euros – mainly includes a provision constituted within the framework of the restructuring of the group and more specifically the complete reconfiguration of the energy branch, following changes at the level of the management of the companies that make it up.
The dividend from La Française des Jeux, received in May 2022, stood at 4.1 million euros, compared to 4.5 million in 2021.
In its press release, IDSud said it intended to continue the recovery and redeployment of its renewable energy activity, with the aim of restoring the financial situation of this previously degraded branch by the end of the year.
The family group nevertheless plans to recognize the correlative losses and depreciation of its energy subsidiary at the end of the financial year, which leads it to anticipate a loss-making financial year in 2022.
