IFA 2023 – Honor Watch 4: the essentials on the wrist, for less than €150


Smartphones and connected objects are poorly represented at IFA 2023, with the notable exception of Honor, which is making its comeback there, a month and a half after its event organized in China, and during which the brand unveiled its Magic V2. The opportunity to present said folding smartphone in Europe, but also a watch which had also been formalized on this occasion.

The Honor Watch 4 presents itself as a connected watch geared towards daily use, sport and well-being. It is equipped with a 1.75-inch AMOLED screen (450 x 390 pixels) in rectangular format and housed in an aluminum casing. Behind this slab are hidden classic sensors to measure heart rate, oxygen saturation, number of steps and monitor sports activity. It should be noted that the Watch 4 includes GPS to better track running or cycling sessions. The device is finally equipped with a 441 mAh battery promising about 14 days of autonomy.

While the market is concentrated around high-end watches, whether we think of the Apple Watch, of which an Ultra 2 model is long overdue, or even the Galaxy Watch 6 from Samsung, Honor is taking the side of offering an affordable model. , unpretentious in terms of health or sport, but complementing the use of the smartphone. It should also be noted that the Watch 4 only allows calls via Bluetooth, since it does not support eSIMs. It displays a price accordingly: so count 149.90 €.
