Indeed, they had mentioned similarities with their novel entitled Double Memory. “We wrote a classic novel where things taste like they are“, they had first declared. So when the first film, directed by the Wachowskis came out on the big screen, the twins had explained that it is a “thunderclap“. The reason ? “The film immediately made us think, irresistibly, of our novel“, they had assured. A controversy then quickly arose but it was quickly forgotten.
