An unforgettable story. The Bogdanoff brothers marked an entire generation. They were controversial scientists who constantly faced criticism. Grichka Bogdanoff died on December 28 and was joined by her twin Igor on January 3. Both died of Covid-19. They left behind inconsolable relatives and friends. Their funeral took place on Monday, January 10 and confidences were made in the columns of the Dispatch. “I saw them when they were very young. I remember their grandmother“, first remembered a resident of Saint-Lary, who knew the twins well. “She had a convertible car and she took them with her. They did not go unnoticed in the streets of Auch“, she then clarified. For his part, Alain Alban, who was drummer for the rock band of the Bogdanoff brothers, said: “They were two very endearing people, very kind, who helped others“When the funeral began, Bernard Cahuzac, the mayor of Saint-Lary, wished to say a few words in tribute to Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff.”They are world celebrities. They were particularly intelligent people, far more than the average“, he said. The twins were much loved and they will never be forgotten.
Disturbing tributes. The funeral took place in the Madeleine church in Paris. For this, several relatives of the twins were present. In particular, there is the singer Sasha Bogdanoff, one of Igor’s daughters but also Francis Lalanne. After singing his song Think of me like I love you, he had confided in the columns of the Parisian. “Even if we are lucky to have lived moments by their side, we tell ourselves that we have not had enough. They’re not people you can leave easily“, he said before specifying: “When they leave, it’s a part of us that leaves with them“. Among the members of the clan present, there was the writer Amelie of Bourbon-Parma, Igor’s ex-wife, and her two children alexander (10 years) and Constantine (7 years). As explained by Candice Mahout, head of the culture department of BFMTV this Monday, January 10, Alexandre has “greeted his dad then his uncle”, she explained. “Lord, I entrust my dad to you, as well as Grichka”, the little boy would have indicated. Two days later, they were buried, in the greatest privacy, in a place close to their hearts. It’s about small village of Saint-Lary located in the Gers where they were born. They spent most of their childhood in a medieval castle, bought by their grandmother and later acquired. A symbolic place for them.

The relatives of Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff met on January 10 to pay a final tribute to the twins. There was Cyril Hanouna, who worked with them in the past, but also Luc Ferry, Francis Lalanne, on the arm of Julie Jardon, Igor’s latest companion. There was Sylvie Ortega, the philosopher Raphael Enthoven, former host Julien Lepers, Massimo Gargia or Pierre-Jean Chalencon. Besides Julia Jardon, Amélie de Bourbon-Parme and Ludmilla d’Oultremont, the first two wives of Igor, were present. As for Chamaye, Grichka’s latest companion, she had also made the trip.
