On the first day of "I'm a Star – The Great Jungle Show" model Zoe Saip's nerves failed.

The starting shot for a very special series of events has been fired: The first day of "I am a Star – The Great Jungle Show" has flickered on the TV screens (RTL and also via TVNow). At the replacement show for the jungle camp, which was canceled due to the corona pandemic, the twelve participants did not move to an open-air camp in Australia, but in groups of three to a tiny house in a film studio in Hürth, not far from Cologne.

Outhouse and only two minutes of warm water

The first three flat share residents were Frank Fussbroich (52, "Die Fussbroichs"), Zoe Saip (21, "GNTM") and Mike Heiter (28, "Love Island"). After a brief introduction, they were allowed to put on their red and green outfits and explore the tiny house. The outhouse and the rationed hot water for the shower in particular caused initial disillusionment, but brought a jungle camp feeling to the room.

In the first meeting, Heiter von Fussbroich was asked about his failed relationship with Elena Miras (28), although he had stated in the introduction clip that he no longer wanted to talk about it: "It just didn't fit anymore," said the 28-year-old from. In any case, he didn't love Miras as much as his current girlfriend Laura Morante: "This is the woman I want to marry," said Heiter. He can also imagine children.

Zoe Saip almost gets a panic attack

After looking back at season eight, the "jungle camp casting", as presenter Sonja Zietlow (52) called it, finally got down to business. The first jungle-test-fitness test "animal enema" was on the plan. The exam was nothing new in the jungle universe, but came from the tenth season. It was a kind of relay race in which the candidates were put in a tank and several keys had to thread through a maze. The tank filled more and more with water and the candidates received visits from various animals at the same time.

The twelve minutes in the water tank turned into an ordeal, especially for Zoe Saip. After Mike Heiter had done the task quickly and with confidence, earning three stars, the model, who was visibly panicked, only got a single key in the remaining time – and thus not another star. Fussbroich never got a move on. Accordingly, the 21-year-old was disappointed. In tears she mostly got herself ready in the interview room and even Fussbroich knew no mercy: "All excuses" was the nicest thing that Saip had to say. The next day, however, everyone was making love again.

Mike Heiter leads the trio

In show three, the audience then determines which two of the three participants will make it to the final. Zietlow and Daniel Hartwich (42) initially only gave a picture of the mood via video switch. As was to be expected, Saip was not very popular with the audience. She ranked third. Second place went to Fussbroich and Heiter was happy about first place.

The finale of "I'm a Star – The Great Jungle Show" will take place on January 29th. The candidate who deserves to move into the 15th Australian jungle camp in 2022 will be determined by voting. The winner will also receive prize money of 50,000 euros.
