in 2022, pay your mobility security bills

The mobility title, which will copy the model of the restaurant ticket, arrives on January 1, 2022. To be valid, this title must specify the name of the employee, that of the company and the period of validity.

From January 2022, employees will be able to use a mobility pass to pay their transport costs. Following the publication of a decree in Official newspaper on December 17, 2021, this mobility pass is an easy-to-use payment solution, integrating the sustainable mobility package or the employer’s aid for fuel costs and for the supply of electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids or hydrogen, on the restaurant voucher model, as explained by the Minister responsible for Transport in a press release.

As the detail Service-public.fr, an employee can thus pay expenses related to his home-work trips, as long as they fit into the following list of modes of transport:

• sales of cycles and cycles pedaling assist;
• retail sale of equipment for bicycles and assisted pedaling cycles;
• maintenance and repair of bicycles and pedal-assisted cycles;
• sale of tickets allowing access to secure parking for bicycles;
• cycle insurance and assisted pedaling cycles;
• rental, regardless of the duration, and self-service provision of cycles, assisted pedaling cycles, personal transport vehicles, mopeds and motorcycles;
• sale of personal motorized vehicles;
• services carpooling;
• rental of electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids or self-service hydrogen accessible on public roads;
• sales of public transport tickets;
• retail sale of fuels;
• sale of power or recharge for electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids or hydrogen.

To be valid, the mobility document must specify the name of the employee, that of the company and the period of validity. This is decided by the issuer. The application for authorization from the Minister of Transport is available on the website demarches-simplifiees.fr.

The launch of this mobility pass is part of the sustainable mobility package. This package is intended to get to work by bike or carpooling. The employer can also cover the home-work fuel costs of his employees and these are not taxable up to 600 euros per year and per employee.
