Especially the small demonstration on Saturday in front of the state hospital makes many angry. Salzburg’s SPÖ boss David Egger is therefore calling for measures to protect staff and patients.
“That doesn’t just affect the staff. Imagine you have an emergency in the family and have to deal with a demonstration and you might not get through, ”says Egger. For him there should be a kind of buffer zone around the local hospitals where demonstrations are not allowed. A street around the hospital would be conceivable as a radius, but according to Egger, the experts have to judge that. Should a demo head towards the hospital anyway, it should be rerouted by the police.
