In Graz-Eggenberg – Fire in emergency shelter: man was injured

For reasons that are still unclear, a fire broke out on Saturday morning in an emergency shelter in Graz-Eggenberg. A 62-year-old resident was injured.

According to previous surveys, the fire probably broke out around midnight in a room on the ground floor of the emergency shelter on Lilienthalgasse. An employee found the 62-year-old lying unconscious on the floor and pulled him out of the burning room. The Graz fire department responded with 23 men and extinguished the room fire in a short time. The injured fire victim was taken to the LKH Graz-West. The amount of property damage has not yet been determined.
