In Ile-de-France, the A6b motorway reopened after a few hours of closure following a fire

The closure only lasted a few hours but it still caused some disruption for motorists in the Ile-de-France region. Closed in the morning in both directions of traffic between Porte d’Italie and L’Haÿ-les-Roses (Val-de-Marne), Friday May 3, the A6b motorway reopened around 6 p.m. This closure followed the fire of a bus in the Bicêtre tunnel.

“It was necessary to ensure that the structure of the Bicêtre tunnel had not been impacted following the bus fire”, said, on X, Sytadin, the traffic application of the Ile-de-France roads department (Dirif). The service announced during the day that this section would be closed for ” an indefinite period “.

Questioned by Agence France-Presse, firefighters did not provide further details on the causes of the fire. One person was slightly injured and treated by firefighters, they added.

Reopening of the A13 from May 11

This motorway closure of a few hours was in addition to that of the A13, closed since April 18, in the west of Paris, between Vaucresson (Hauts-de-Seine) and Paris. It will gradually reopen “in the province-Paris direction” from Saturday May 11, announced Monday the prefect of Hauts-de-Seine, Laurent Hottiaux.

This reopening will nevertheless be reserved “for light vehicles only, provided that all safety conditions are met”said the prefecture in a press release.
