More and more series are coming out on Netflix. In recent weeks, it’s the series A day which caused a lot of talk on social networks. We follow a story of love and friendship between Emma and Dexter who lose sight of each other and constantly find each other again. A poignant mini-series that particularly appealed to fans of romance. But since then, it has been dethroned by several other productions. What is The Gentlemen on Netflix about?
The Gentlemen is in first place in the Top 10 best series in at least 68 countries. Among them, we find France but also the United States and Brazil. Directed by the British Guy Ritchie, it is a series adaptation of the film of the same name which was released in 2019. In this series composed of 8 episodes of around forty minutes, we follow Eddie Horniman, played by Théo James who that we could find in the films Divergent.
Eddie is an aristocrat who when he inherits his father’s estate, discovers that there is a huge cannabis empire hidden there. Is a season 2 planned for The Gentlemen?
After finishing the episodes of The Gentlemen, Netflix users are just waiting for one thing, for there to be a season 2. Good news: a second season is being considered! Marc Helwig, the boss of Miramax Television, told the media Deadline: “We have started this process. There are screenwriters with whom we have already spoken.”
He indicated that it was in discussion with the producer: “Obviously, we’ve already had a lot of discussions with Guy Ritchie about what he might want to do in a second season, what the sequel could focus on.” However, to do this, he wants to make sure that season 1 really does well. “Then we’ll know more.” he finished by explaining.
