This Monday February 27 and Tuesday February 28, the French Blood Establishment (EFS), the cities of Lyon and the Toques Blanches Lyonnaises are organizing a donation day at the Palais de la Bourse in Lyon. Under the tagline, “Who does not save is not Lyonnais», the chefs will participate in the snacks served to the donors. “All these chefs come voluntarily. They are the ones who make the filling of pancakes that are absolutely delicious“, we delight on the side of the EFS.

Through this important operation, the EFS hopes to attract new donors. Every day, France needs 10,000 donations and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region 1,400. In Lyon, 500 donations a day will be made on Monday and Tuesday at the Palais de la Bourse. “It gives an idea of the importance of this collection. And especially in terms of visibility to remind people to give“, we confide on the side of the EFS in the Rhône.

Since the Covid epidemic, donations have become rarer to the point of reaching more than tense situations during school holidays. “If today is better, the reserves were very low after Christmasdetails the communication department of the EFS. We also feel that since the Covid people have changed their habits. We have more and more people who have moved away from donation and it is very difficult to mobilize donors“.
