A father moved Internet users with a symbolic and moving gesture. As support for his child with cancer, he decided to shave his hair.
His name is Rayshawn Mims, and he is the proud dad of seven-year-old Ahkeem, who has bone cancer. Her baby boy is undergoing heavy treatment which is causing hair loss. So, to make him feel less alone in this ordeal, his father chose to get rid of his long dreadlocks on his head, by shaving his head. This super dad decides to send a strong and loving message to his little boy
“But you know you’re strong, you’ve been strong and you’re going to continue to be strong and it’s gonna be okay, you know that? I’m going to cut my hair because what you go through in life, I endure with you. ”

Ahkeem has had to fight what turns out to be bone cancer since August 3, 2021, when at first his parents thought it was just a sprained knee. After multiple tests, the little boy was diagnosed with osteosarcoma.
The Mims family has launched a GoFundMe pot to raise funds. A few days after its launch, they managed to raise more than five times the amount requested.
