In South Korea, the world scout party turns into a nightmare

The major world scout party currently being held in South Korea will end earlier than expected due to a typhoon alert, the world scout movement announced on Monday (August 7th). “Due to the expected impact of Typhoon Khanun, an early departure is planned for all participants”he said in a statement.

About 43,000 people from all over the world gathered to take part in this great global gathering of scouts, which began on 1er August, in Saemangeum, on the west coast of South Korea. The festival, organized every four years, was to end on August 12. But the event quickly turned into a nightmare: thousands of participants, including the 4,000 Britons and the 1,500 Americans had already left the rally prematurely at the end of last week due to the extreme heat and the failing organization.
