License TopSpin is preparing its big comeback, under the supervision of 2K Games, with a new TopSpin 2K25 !
It was (more than) 20 years ago, in 2003, Microsoft’s Xbox welcomed a brand new tennis game: TopSpin. While Virtua Tennis was the joy of fans of the discipline, the game, then developed by the French studio Power and Magic Development (PAM), revealed itself to be strikingly realistic. Both beautiful, realistic, and particularly pleasant to play, TopSpin immediately established itself as one of the best tennis games “ever”.
TopSpin prepare for his return!
Launched in 2011, Top Spin 4, then headed by 2K Czech, enjoyed some success, but also marked the end of the saga, the publisher preferring to focus on other licenses, notably the NBA saga. Today, while the Australian Open is in full swing, 2K Games is formalizing the return of the license.
This will involve a brand new opus, called TopSpin 2K25. At the helm, obviously no PAM (the studio having been absorbed by 2K in 2006), nor even 2K Czechbut a certain Hangar 13. As a reminder, the American developer became famous in 2016, with a certain Mafia III.

The publisher has released a very short teaser to formalize this new TopSpin 2K25, which already has an official website, but devoid of any content other than a simple visual. Currently, the game is listed on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, but it does not have a release date.
All that remains is to be patient before finding, we hope, a tennis simulation worthy of the name. In the meantime, we invite you to relaunch the first opus on Xbox, you might be surprised…
Remember that its developer, Power and Magic Development, had worked on TopSpin 2 and 3but also previously on Pro Beach Soccer, Ronaldo V-Football or Snow Racerthe first game from the French developer being a certain Waterworldin its Game Boy version.
