In Tristach – After a collision, cyclists had to be reanimated

A serious collision between two cyclists (57 and 79) occurred on Friday afternoon in Tristach in East Tyrol. The 57-year-old remained motionless on the ground after the collision and had to be reanimated by the emergency services.

The 57-year-old Austrian was on the road towards Lienz at around 5 p.m. At the same time, a 79-year-old wanted to turn into the municipal road. The two cyclists apparently overlooked the other.

They could then no longer prevent a collision. Both cyclists fell and the 57-year-old lay motionless. A witness to the accident started the rescue chain. The emergency team had to reanimate the 57-year-old. He was flown to the Klagenfurt Clinic. The 79-year-old was uninjured in the collision.
