In Wildstation – Three fox babies have to grow up without their mom

At the last minute, three fox babies were saved from starvation by employees of the Freistadt animal shelter. An attentive neighbor of a forest in St. Leonhard near Freistadt had informed the animal shelter about the motherless foxes.

Three fox babies have to get by without their mother. They were rescued by an attentive resident and the staff of the Freistadt animal shelter in a forest in St. Leonhard. For two siblings of the trio, help came too late. Tamara, Babsi and Verena brought the three little foxes to the wildlife station of the animal shelter, warmed them and fed them milk. They were given IV fluids and special vitamins because they were weak and dehydrated. Despite the care, a fox baby does not seem to be over the mountain yet. The aim is to feed the animals up and later release them back into the wild.
