This Monday, September 25, France 2 is broadcasting the first two episodes of Infiltré(e), a detective mini-series written by Frédéric Krivine and directed by Jean-Philippe Amar, the duo who were already behind the historical fiction Un Village Français.

For the occasion, they find Audrey Fleurot, who abandons the colorful outfits of Morgane Alvaro in HPI to play Aurélie, a chemist in the police who is raising her son alone since the death of her companion by overdose.

When commissioner Max Vernet (played by Thierry Neuvic) uses her skills to investigate UBH, a new synthetic drug, which is starting to claim victims, she has no idea that she will find herself infiltrated into the heart of a network of young and dangerous traffickers. Faced with the charismatic Jesus (Sumaï Cardenas), who runs the network from Marseille, does she have a chance of carrying out her mission? To save her son, Aurélie no longer has a choice.

Why put a parenthesis in the title?

The writing of the title of Infiltré(e) is very particular. The production has in fact chosen to put a parenthesis which sows doubt. Asked about the question during a press conference, creators Frédéric Krivine and Emmanuel Daucé explained that this way of writing the title of the mini-series was done from the start of the project.

If they had always had in mind to infiltrate a female character, they liked the idea of the parenthesis. “Aurélie puts her life on hold when she begins infiltration”, explained Emmanuel Daucé.

These parentheses also create a logo, and thus make it possible to create a commercial brand, even if it is for a mini-series”, added Frédéric Krivine. “We really liked the visual it gave, and we found it much more interesting than just putting ‘Infiltrated’. It catches the eye and creates a little mystery without hindering understanding..”

Watch two new episodes of Infiltré(e) this Monday, September 25 from 9:10 p.m. on France 2.
