According to information from Europe 1, just over 220 actions are planned throughout the territory for the 4th day of national action to mobilize against pension reform. In Paris, between 90,000 and 120,000 demonstrators are expected.

This will be the first day of mobilization organized on a Saturday since the start of the protest movement against the pension reform. From police sources, we anticipate the presence of 590,000 to 820,000 people in the processions this Saturday throughout France, including 90,000 to 120,000 demonstrators for the capital.

In Paris, between 1,500 and 3,000 yellow vests and 200 to 400 radical elements could try to infiltrate the procession, especially since anti-capitalist collectives have announced their presence.

According to information from Europe 1, territorial intelligence provides processions provided in Toulouse and Nantes where more than 22,000 demonstrators are expected to take to the streets. Caen, Montpellier, Angers, Rennes and Lille should also be among the most mobilized French cities.

60% of actions mid-morning

More than 60% of the events will be held in the middle of the morning. But in the big cities (Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Nantes and Rennes), the processions will start at the beginning of the afternoon.

This new day should drain wider socio-professional categories with the presence of families and private sector employees who have not been able to mobilize previously due to the scheduling of days on weekdays. The unions are hoping for broad civil society participation, despite the winter holidays in Zones A and B.

As a reminder, on the first day on January 19, the intelligence services expected between 550,000 and 750,000 people (221 actions), on January 31 1 million to 1.2 million (240 actions) and on February 7 900,000 at 1.1 million people (190 shares).
