Injured – pensioner (81) strayed with tractor

An 81-year-old farmer from Feldkirchen got off the tractor on Saturday. The device overturned several times.

The pensioner was busy clearing a footpath of shrubs and thus making the path passable again. He was backing up along the path with his tractor and his left rear tire hit the edge of the path. The soil gave way under the heavy equipment. The tractor overturned several times and stopped after about ten meters in a parking lot. “The tractor was equipped with rollover protection, so the farmer only suffered bruises in the area of his forehead,” says a police officer.

He was able to get out of the vehicle himself and was brought to the AUKH Klagenfurt by the Feldkirchen ambulance after initial treatment by the emergency doctor. Significant property damage was caused to the tractor. Slight paint damage occurred on the semitrailer. The tractor was recovered from the FF St. Martin. During the salvage work, the B 94 was only passable in one lane.
