Inside Star Citizen: The Mule

The Star Citizen developers realized that some aspects of the delivery missions could be improved.
For example, when players go to collect packages from an underground complex defended by turrets, it is often best to land out of the way and walk to the bunker before bringing the boxes one by one to foot. This is where the Mule created by Drake Interplanetary comes in. It can contain 6 parcels as well as 2 boxes of 2 SCUs, one in the front and one in the back. The design of the vehicle is deliberately industrial and old school.

The developers paid special attention to the dimensions of the vehicle so that it could be transported by the greatest number of ships. The Mule can be carried by any ship that can carry a ROC.
Vehicle entry is very similar to the ROC with a front entry.

The vehicle will become even more useful with the cargo refactor as it can be used to load and unload ships while carrying the packages, or 2 SCU boxes.

It is the newest non-combat related vehicle and it allows to give more opportunities and options to the players during their various missions. It should be available in-game during Invictus Launch Week.

ROI Scorpius

One of the highlights of RSI’s Scorpius is its menacing and iconic silhouette. She is meant to inspire concern and be a serious threat.
There are many heavy combat ships, such as the Defender, the Hurricane, or the Super Hornet and these are all designed for players who prefer two-up combat with the cooperation that this entails than solo combat. This shared combat experience is really different according to the developers.
The Scorpius is therefore a fairly agile heavy combat ship, for two players, one being the pilot and the other controlling the remote-controlled mobile turret.
The technology to create these remote-controlled turrets did not exist before the scorpius, so they had to work on it and for the first time we will be able to control the location of the turret during flight.
They also added a “ship transform” key so that they could change the position of the wings independently of the landing gear.
Since the concept phase, its number of missiles has doubled to 16 size 2 missiles and its shield has become a size 2 shield which is quite large for this kind of ships.
It will be released during the IVL but its development will not stop there and some changes will continue to be made to the ship after its release in the Verse. In particular, they want the change in the position of the wings to have a real influence on the flight of the ship by changing its maneuverability and its agility.
