Because of my job, I have to take many screenshots on all platforms every year. I do so many that I even set up a system on my iPhone to be able to do them faster, thanks to the AssistiveTouch accessibility feature.
But when we think of a screenshot, we usually think of a photo. However, your iPhone allows you to quickly convert your screenshots… into PDF documents.
But that’s not all. Your screenshots were limited for the moment to the size of your screen? You will now be able to capture entire web pages, or even documents and emails too long to fit entirely on your screen. Practical, right?

Tailor-made screenshots
As a reminder, here is how to take a screenshot on iPhone:
- if your iPhone has Face ID: Simultaneously press the side button and the volume up button, then release them simultaneously;
- If your iPhone has Touch ID: Simultaneously press the home button and side button (or top button for older iPhones), then release them simultaneously.
Now, if you want to screenshot content larger than your screen size, or just save your screenshot as a PDF directly, here’s how:
- take a screenshot as shown above;
- tap the preview that appears at the bottom left of your screen;
- click on the tab Full page ;
- now you can save the screenshot as PDF, share it, crop it, edit it or delete it.
And yes, it is as simple as that.
