Because the Cupertino company still seems to be lagging behind, without any achievements to offer. And there would be a very specific reason for this. What is Apple preparing for us in the world of generative AI? We finally know a little more today, thanks to a leakApple Insider. According to this media, if Apple is late, once launched, it should go all out on artificial intelligence.
Indeed, the latter should be available, from iOS 18, on Apple’s most important native applications such as the Siri assistant, Safari, Mail or Messages. Thus, for this last application, the AI could generate suggested responses to messages received, by analyzing the history of the user’s phone.

And if these new functions will respect Apple’s wish to run its AI locally, thanks to its in-house Ajax language model, the AI will also work in a network. Indeed, the next update of Safari would integrate the functionality called “Intelligent Search. » The latter will be able to quickly summarize the content of the web pages visited by a user.
