iPad Pro 2024: Oled models would be much thinner

With the iPad Pro 2024, Apple intends to bring a notable evolution to the display thanks to the use of Oled panels, instead of LCD and Mini-Led on current models . Among the expected new features, previous reports mentioned the M3 chip, a repositioning of the front camera and Face ID, MagSafe technology, an improved Magic Keyboard and a third generation birth of Apple Pencil.

Added to this is now a new format for Apple’s next high-end tablets. In an article published this Tuesday, February 20, 2024, 9to5Mac expects the following dimensions for the iPad Pro 2024:
• 249.7 mm x 177.5 mm x 5.1 mm for the 11-inch model;
• 281.5 mm x 215.5 mm x 5.0 mm for the 12.9-inch model.

The iPad Pros would thus gain in finesse compared to the M2 range released in 2022, and more particularly the 12.9 inch model. The thickness would be 21.88% lower (-1.4mm) on the large screen version, and 13.56% lower (-0.8mm) on the declination 11 inches.

Developments are also anticipated in terms of the length and width of the shelves. The 11-inch 2024 iPad Pro would be significantly larger (+2.1 mm in length) and narrower (-1 mm), while the model with a 12.9-inch screen would take 0.9 mm in width. length and 0.6 mm in width.

Incidentally, the media gives the dimensions of the 12.9-inch iPad Air: 280.6 x 214.9 x 6.0 mm. Thus, this new large-screen iPad model would adopt a format almost similar to the iPad Pro M2 with a 12.9-inch screen (280.6 x 214.9 x 6.4 mm). ).

As a reminder, the next iPad Pro and iPad Air should arrive next month. In a recent article, Mark Gurman expected a launch at the end of March 2024.
