iPhone 15: No rendering – first real image confirms assumption

IPHONE 15: RUMORS, RELEASE, TECH, PRICE – WHAT WE ALREADY KNOW

Real images of an iPhone 15 have surfaced on Twitter. One detail in particular catches the eye, which many users look forward to while others are more critical of.

  • Photos of the iPhone 15 codenamed D37 are circulating online.
  • You can see the standard model of the iPhone 14 successor.
  • The USB-C port is clearly visible on the underside.

Away from the Lightning port, towards the USB-C standard. Apple does not go this route voluntarily with the iPhone. Rather, the manufacturer from Cupertino is forced to do so by EU requirements. Insiders and analysts have long assumed that the iPhone 15 will be the first iPhone with a USB-C port.

Photos now published by user Unknownz21 on Twitter (via MacRumors) are said to show the basic model of the iPhone 15. The USB-C port on the bottom is clearly visible, although the images are of very poor quality. The author of the tweet states that this was done to make it more difficult to trace the source.

A picture of the front of the entry-level iPhone can also be seen. There are no major differences compared to the iPhone 14. There is also no trace of the variable Apple notch called Dynamic Island. Some observers assume that Apple no longer wants to reserve the Dynamic Island for the Pro models.

Note that the iPhone 15 is still in the development phase and changes are possible at any time. We expect a release in September 2023.
