The iPhone 15 Pro Max would be the smartphone with the thinnest borders around the screen on the market.
Previous leaks mentioned a reduction in the size of the borders surrounding the screen of the iPhone 15 Pro, the end result could even go beyond our expectations.
The thinnest borders on a smartphone?
The famous leaker Ice Universe claims that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will break a world record in this area. The smartphone would present black borders around the slab with a thickness of only 1.55 mm. It would thus dethrone the Xiaomi 13 and its 1.81 mm borders. For comparison, the Galaxy S23 and S22 sport 1.95mm bezels, and the iPhone 14 Pro 2.17mm.
We also know that Apple should introduce a new design with the next generation, which would have a slightly curved chassis and screen, which may help reduce the size of the borders. This change should in any case simplify the handling of mobiles.
The arrival of physical buttons integrated into the chassis with haptic feedback is also expected as well as the appearance of a USB-C port to replace the Lightning connector.
A price spike?
The pill-shaped punch called Dynamic Island will return to Pro models, and should for the first time be integrated into standard versions of the iPhone. On the other hand, it should not be expected that the entry-level iPhone 15s will finally benefit from a ProMotion screen, these should retain a display with a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
The photo block of the iPhone 15 Pro would be even more prominent than that of the iPhone 14 Pro, suggesting the integration of larger sensors. A new periscopic optic improving the range of the optical zoom is also mentioned. The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max would also switch to a titanium frame, a material used on the Apple Watch Ultra.
All these new features have a cost, and Apple will most likely pass it on to the price of its terminals: analysts are also expecting a price increase with the iPhone 15 Pro.
