One of the biggest problems of theiPhone 15 could be fixed with the next generation of iPhone.

It has now been two months since the iPhone 15/Plus and iPhone 15 Pro/Max were available. Although Apple’s new devices generally seem to satisfy their first buyers, they were nevertheless hit by serious overheating problems during their launch.

If the Cupertino company will fortunately not take long before delivering the first fixes, it could well make some changes to the design of its future iPhones to prevent this from happening again.

Overheating issues fixed with iPhone 16?

While Apple has already released the update to iOS 17.1.1, and rumors currently suggest that the installation of apps from third-party stores could arrive sooner than we think, the rumors of the day will now concern the next generation of iPhone.

According to recent information relayed by the site App Insiderthe company led by Tim Cook would not like to deal once again with the overheating problems that occurred during the launch of the iPhone 15. To do this, it would therefore consider adopting a graphene heat sink and a metal shell for the battery of the Pro variants.

In fact, abandoning copper in favor of graphene would allow the iPhone 16 heatsink to benefit from thermal conductivity four times better than on current iPhone models.

The overheating issues encountered with the iPhone 15 inevitably lead us to believe that adopting a titanium frame was perhaps not as wise a choice as we might have hoped.

iPhone 16: screen, photo, Wi-Fi… update on the rumors

From the various rumors that have reached us to date, the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max would both benefit from larger screens. If the Pro variant could be equipped with a 6.3-inch screen (compared to 6.1 inches for the iPhone 15 Pro), the Pro Max version would benefit from a 6.9-inch screen (compared to 6 .7 inches for the iPhone 15 Pro Max).

In photography, Apple’s future smartphones should improve the quality of photos captured in underexposure situations thanks to the adoption of new sensors. The iPhone 16 Pro would also be equipped with a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.

To conclude on the rumors surrounding the iPhone 16, Apple should logically equip its devices with the Wi-Fi 7 standard. This will allow users to benefit from faster speeds, or even lower latency.

Like every year, the release of the new iPhones is logically expected for September 2024. Until then, there is no doubt that the rumors will continue to intensify…

Apple iPhone 15

  • A design that gains in elegance
  • The disappearing notch
  • Ultra bright screen

The iPhone 15 does better than its predecessor, and on every level! Equipped with a superb, very bright screen (but still 60 Hz), finally free of its notch, it is already establishing itself as a wonderful traveling companion for years to come.

More versatile than ever in photography, thanks to its new sensor offering 2x digital zoom which was sorely lacking in previous models, it clearly overshadows the iPhone 15 Pro. However, keep in mind that autonomy is a real stone in the shoe of this model, which makes us prefer the iPhone 15 Plus this year. Despite everything, we appreciate the move to USB-C, even if the USB 2.0 standard is far too dated.

The fact remains that Apple is making all the right choices this year to bring its “standard” range up to speed, where the Pro models tended to take too big a lead in terms of design as well as in terms of performance.
