Un respite for Emmanuel Macron. After a drop of seven points in two months, the Head of State benefits from a small rise (2 points) in the Ipsos-Point of December. At 38% of favorable opinions, he remains well above his predecessor François Hollande – who was at 23% in December 2013 – but well below Nicolas Sarkozy – at 46% in December 2008 – and both do not were only on their one and only mandate.

“Emmanuel Macron is mostly unpopular, concentrating 57% of unfavorable opinions, but the deterioration in his popularity has been stemmed this month”, comments Federico Vacas, deputy director of the political and opinion department of Ipsos.
