On could have expected it, but at this point… Just re-elected, Emmanuel Macron fell 5 points in the confidence index (42%) of the monthly barometer Ipsos-Point, and negative judgments of its action increased by 6 points (54%). If 95% of LREM supporters still give him credit, the head of state loses 11 points among pro-PS, 9 points among environmentalists, and 7 points among LR-UDI. It drops by 10 points among those under 35, and by 23 points among blue-collar workers. “It’s a marked setback for the president, notes Mathieu Gallard, of Ipsos, even if the level is not catastrophic.
