(Reuters) – Iran’s armed forces began maneuvers in the Arabian Sea near the strategic Strait of Hormuz on Thursday evening, state media reported on Friday.
These annual exercises, dubbed “Zolfaghar-1401”, involve the air, land and navy forces.
Drones and submarines train in particular “in the collection of operational information against attackers and in reconnaissance operations”, Admiral Habibollah Sayyari told the official IRNA agency.
