To remember

For the 2nd week in a row, Dune 2 is at the top of the French box office with one million more spectators! In total, Denis Villeneuve’s film has 2,384,325 admissions. It will very quickly surpass the score of the first part, which ended its run with a total of 3.1 million curious people in 2021.

In second position, A life continues its excellent performance with nearly 250,000 additional spectators this week. The drama carried by Anthony Hopkins therefore passes the million tickets sold mark.

This work confirms its status as a surprise success. The story centers on the true story of Sir Nicholas Winton; the latter saved 669 Jewish children at the dawn of the Second World War, before finding some survivors 50 years later, on a television set.

The Bolero Waltz

On the 3rd step of the podium, Bolero made a good start with 177,724 torn tickets. The biopic on Maurice Ravel by Anne Fontaine is carried by Raphaël Personnaz. It surpasses another biopic about a famous musician: Bob Marley One Love, which garnered 172,000 admissions this week. In total, the film attracted 1.7 million spectators.

The 5th position is held by Retirement home 2, which is holding up rather well despite a 42% drop in attendance. The comedy with Kev Adams now claims 1.3 million tickets sold. The 2 million from the first episode are achievable. As for cock-a-doodle Dooworn by Didier Bourdon and Christian Clavier, it continues to work well, already attracting more than 1.7 million curious people.

Another feature film to reach the milestone of one million spectators: Dog Cat by Reem Kherici. It is ahead of 3 new products which bring up the rear at the bottom of the ranking: 14 days to get better, The Teachers’ Room And Imaginary.
