9,500 rockets fired towards Israel since the start of the war
It was unheard of. In the first four hours on October 7, 3,000 rockets were fired toward Israel. In one month of war, more than 9,500 shots were recorded by Israeli radars. This is twice as long as during the Second Lebanon War in 2006 which lasted 33 days. There have never been so many air defense batteries deployed in the country. And for the first time, Arrow 3, Israel’s most advanced anti-aircraft system, succeeded in intercepting a ballistic missile launched from Yemen by the Houthis. He was heading towards Eilat in the south of the country.
This is a major breakthrough because this very long-range defensive weapon is designed to destroy threatening objects outside the atmosphere. This war against Hamas, and while clashes are increasing with Lebanese Hezbollah, therefore allows the Israelis to show their defense capacity. A message sent to the Iranians who since 2017 have been developing Khorramshahr ballistic missiles, capable of reaching Israel.
