During a conversation with a player, Phil Spencer, boss of Microsoft Gaming, announced that it will soon be possible to play its entire game library from the cloud. According to the latter, this little revolution should even arrive before the end of the year. Until then, a few questions will still need to be answered.
There is no doubt that Xbox has largely contributed to the democratization of cloud gaming with its Game Pass. Thanks to a quality selection of games and its infrastructure which (most of the time) holds up, many players have been able to try sessions on smartphones or simply away from home. But despite all these qualities, Xbox cloud gaming has a major flaw: once a game leaves Game Pass, it is no longer possible to play it in cloud gaming.
However, it seems that Microsoft is preparing a little something on this subject. Not content with having announced only a few days ago the arrival of certain exclusives on PS5 and Nintendo Switch, Phil Spencer also released some important information to a player during a conversation on Xbox Chat. To the question of the possibility of playing its entire game library in cloud gaming, the boss of Microsoft Gaming replied that this “should arrive this year”.
