It’s one of the most astonishing films of the year: this American star is unrecognizable as a yeti!

Once upon a time, the daily life of yetis! Noticed at the Sundance festival, the surprising and naturalistic “Sasquatch Sunset” unveils its trailer. With familiar faces that you won’t recognize under the makeup.

From Mark Zuckerberg to Yeti, there is only one step and a few hours of makeup for Jesse Eisenberg. Because it’s him who we find, unrecognizable, in the trailer for Sasquatch Sunset. Alongside Riley Keough, who we don’t recognize much anymore.

Having passed through the last Sundance Festival, where it enjoyed great success in January, the film by David and Nathan Zellner (who recently distinguished themselves on the series The Curse) does not yet have a release date. But a trailer that intrigues and surprises.

At the crossroads of mockumentary and offbeat comedy, this feature film produced by Ari Aster (Midsommar, Beau is Afraid) takes us for a year alongside a family of yetis, also called Bigfoot or Sasquatch.

Two hours of makeup every day

After shaving his head for a few minutes of Batman v Superman (and the post-credits scene of Justice League), Jesse Eisenberg had to go even further: according to his partner Christophe Zajac-Denek, each actor in the film spent two hours daily makeup, so that fur is glued to his face before he puts on a special costume.

Also expected at the Berlin Festival in the coming days, the result looks unusual to say the least. And all that remains is to wait for a French date to be sure. Thanks to the Champs-Elysées Film Festival or that of Deauville?
