Due to outdated product placements, Daniel Craig will have to run again. Several "Bond" scenes have to be re-shot.

"James Bond" fans need to be patient. Although a new premiere date for Daniel Craig's (52) last appearance as MI6 agent was recently announced on October 8, 2021, the filming of "No Time to Die" still seems to have not been completed. As "The Sun" learned from an insider who was not named, the production team was forced to re-record some scenes. The reason: The agent's equipment in the film is now out of date due to the multiple postponement of the release date.

Sponsors and cooperation partners are therefore concerned that the products shown in the film are no longer the latest of their models. Among other things, the report mentions high-tech devices, watches, cell phones, shoes and beverages that Craig aka Bond is promoting subliminally. "When the movie comes out now, it will look like Daniel Craig and everyone else in the cast are wearing something that has been around for ages." This is "not really the point" of the product placement agreements that have been concluded.

The focus should be on new products

"The big tech companies want the stars to have all the new, emerging products to promote and sell to the fans," the insider said. For the production team this means that "some of the scenes have to be edited and checked very carefully in order to bring them up to date".

"James Bond 007: No Time to Die" was originally scheduled to open in theaters in April 2020. Due to the corona pandemic, however, the global start was initially postponed to November of the same year and then to April 2021. In January it was finally revealed on the film's official Twitter accountthat the last "Bond" flick with Craig will premiere on October 8, 2021 – around a year and a half later than planned.
